Flash button symbol

Flash: The LED flash on your device gives your photo extra exposure when needed. Tap  the flash button to turn the flash on or off.

Live Photo Button Symbol

Live Photos: You can capture life in motion and sound as it happens. Live Photos is enabled by default. Tap the Live Photo button  to disable the feature. 

Timer button symbol

Timer: Place the device on a firm surface, compose your composition and tap the timer button  . Choose a 3 or 10 second countdown, tap the shutter button and step inside the frame.

Front camera: To take a selfie with the front camera, tap the front camera button  . Find a good angle and tap the shutter button. With iPhone 6s and later, you can use the Home screen as a flash for selfies.

Burst mode takes a series of photos in quick succession so you can pick the best one. On an iPhone 11 or later, iPad Pro 12.9-inch (4th generation), and iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd generation), the ultra-wide camera zooms out to 0.5x. 

Edit your photo or video

After taking the photo or video, open it in the Photos app and tap Edit. Now you can crop it, adjust the angle and exposure, add a filter, and adjust other aspects. Choose an adjustment, such as "Brightness" or "Saturation" and slide to change its strength and intensity. If you're not happy with the changes, tap Cancel to restore the original photo or video.
